Tear Troughs

  • Tear Troughs

Why have a tear trough procedure?

The tear trough extends from the inner corner of the eye following a semicircular arc towards the outer corner of the eye. A deep tear trough can create a shadow that is perceived as a dark circle below the eye. It also creates a division between the lower eyelid and cheek that is a sign of early ageing around the eyes. Patients with deep tear troughs often complain that they look more tired and older than they really are. Eye hollows or dark shadows can develop from a young age and are caused by genetics, lack of sleep, stress and poor diet.

How to Treat the Tear Trough Area

A tear trough treatment with Intraline One Dermal Filler is a safe, minimally invasive and instant correction to fix dark under eye circles. By injecting Intraline One in the tear trough area the appearance of dark hollows can be dramatically reduced making the eyes brighter and rejuvenated. Intraline One Dermal Filler replaces lost volume and the same time retains skin hydration. Once filled the area appears smooth and light reflects more evenly correcting dark shadows.

  • Instant results
  • Smooths out skin which means light reflects more evenly, thus reducing the appearance of dark shadows under the eye
  • Takes years off the face
  • You will look well rested and rejuvenated (ie. considerably less tired looking)

Side Effects

There is a risk of bruising and swelling in the days following the procedure. There is also a risk of lumps forming due to poor injection technique. The eye is an extremely delicate area and should only be treated by highly trained practitioners.
